Velankani
was incorporated in New Jersey and started
its business primarily by offering software
development resources to AT&T and other
large telecommunication companies as a primary
vendor. |

The Telecommunications
Act of 1996, opened the doors to a new breed
of companies - the CLEC’s. Velankani
expanded from staff augmentation to offering
services in project management and executing
large turnkey projects. Velankani developed
one of the best pools of managers in areas
of Operation Support Systems (OSS), TMN, Software
Design and Development. |

Velankani improved the
use of its technical skills by starting an
R&D division, developing products from
concept to market. |
| 2000 |
To keep up with changing
trends and market demands, Velankani expanded
beyond the Somerset NJ headquarters to develop
a world class 450,000 sqft R&D Campus
to support 3500 staff in Bangalore, India.
Phase I of the Bangalore campus is fully operational
with capacity for 700 staff. |

Implemented offshore projects
successfully. Also initiated use of facilities
for internal R&D and product development. |

Viteos is founded to provide
back-office operations processing. |

With the completion of
our Bangalore Development Center, this 800,000
sq. ft. facility houses 8,000 technical people. |

Velankani’s Telecom
division becomes a self-sufficient, standalone
company, Velankani Communications Technologies,
Inc. (VCTI). |
