Kolanda founded Velankani Information Systems in 1985 under the principal of providing the best and brightest consultants to the telecommunications market at a reasonable price. Kolanda has more than 20 years technical consulting expertise in telephony and financial applications. He previously worked as a technical consultant for AT&T and was an early innovator of relational databases. He has extensive experience in database architectural design, implementations and conversions. Kolanda holds two Master's degrees, one in Computer Science from Queens College, College University of New York, and the other in Operations Research from Osmania University in India.

John joined Velankani in 2001, and is now responsible for all day-to-day operations of the company. Previously he enjoyed a 20+ year career in directing financial systems development and maintenance at AT&T/Lucent Technologies. Prior to this he supported numerous applications at Allied-Signal (Honeywell) and Chubb Insurance. Since joining Velankani John has taken our business to new markets, extended the relationships with our consultants, and designed cost reduction solutions for domestic and offshore consulting and outsourcing services. John began his career after completing his BA in Mathematics at Montclair State University and a Certificate in Computer Programming at the Chubb Institute of Computer Technology. He subsequently earned a Masters of Management Science from Stevens Institute of Technology.
